Description
From Bishop, CA take highway 168 west into the Sierras. At first you'll think I'm crazy, Bishop in the fall is brown - not a speck of green. However, if you go up into the mountains you will find some water that LA didn't steal and some lakes. Around these lakes are aspens that turn the most magnificent colors in the fall.
This photograph is taken from Apsendell (I was on a time crunch and couldn't get all the way to the lakes and hike with my cameras to the right spot -- maybe next year).
