Description
A photograph of a single leaning pillar from Devil's Postpile. The width of the pillar is about 2 feet wide and stands about 30 feet or so tall. It is a crystal of ancient basalt from a lava flow that has become exposed. The image was shot from the bottom of the talus (you can't climb on the talus - the postpile is unstable and having a couple hundred pounds of rock fall on you is less than fun).

ugh. looks a bit blurry to me--seems to be camera shake.
nice colors and composition, though.
